Pol Jarvinen Biography

"Pol Jarvinen was born and lives in Southwestern France between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean.  The movements of nature, particularly the motion of waves and wind and the beating of the human heart inspire his sculptural art.  He also draws inspiration from his own dreams and from the poetry of the French surrealists, like Paul Eluard and Rene Char.  In first life, Pol is devoted to the ocean , a fact reflected in the movement his pieces convey.  In Second Life, he surfs his imagination to create vibrant sculptures.

Pol’s early sculpture is characterized by a play of forms and colors, fluid curving and intersecting lines and shapes that invite viewer participation.  Over time his work has become more  interactive.  He plays with prims to make his thoughts and dreams become reality, interweaving a wide spectrum palette of colors and textures to achieve his interior vision.  He loves playing with transparency and with unfolding layers of meaning and personal experience.  The viewer can move within the artwork, gaining multiple levels of meaning.

Always surprising, often surreal, Pol most recent sculptures use urban and industrial textures, and solid shapes that unexpectedly morph into fluidity.  His most recent works engage both intellect and emotion.  Some are humorous, tongue in cheek, reflective of a proudly crazy sensibility.  Others offer social commentary.

Questa volta saremo all'Agnata, la tenuta sarda tanto cara all'indimenticabile cantautore, e parleremo delle figure femminili cantate da Omero e Faber, due aedi di epoche diverse, ma molto vicini tra loro.

Completerà la serata una mostra fotografica a tema, con le opere di:

De Andrè come Omero, aedo e cantore dell'animo umano e del destino, osservatore attento, ma umile e clemente.
De Andrè come Ulisse, navigatore mediterraneo, con le sue peregrinazioni, le sue battaglie, i suoi naufragi, la sua Ogigia.
De Andrè come uomo, con le "passanti", sue muse ispiratrici, che accolgono, seducono, amano, peccano, ma non sono mai passivi oggetti del desiderio.

Con la fantasia e le riflessioni dell'autrice Giulia Maria Iselle, faremo un percorso un po' insolito forse, ma che rende i personaggi mitici proprio perchè veri, che riesce a cogliere e comprendere la condizione femminile attraverso figure e caratteri differenti e che rende infine giustizia alle donne, tutte, dalle femmes fatales alle ingenue adolescenti, dalle prostitute del porto alle madri amorevoli, viste da Fabrizio comunque vittime di tre grandi sacrifici: la maternità, la verginità e l’egoismo maschile.

La voce e la chitarra di Musicante Malandrino ci faranno compagnia attraverso i vicoli, i porti e le alcove, dove ci attendono sirene e madonne, sante e peccatrici... 

Le opere fotografiche ispirate al tema, esposte nell'ambientazione che ricorda l'Agnata - il podere sardo dei De Andrè - esprimono la bellezza femminile, che diventa lo specchio del proprio essere e sentire. Riportano alle parole di Alvaro Mutis, ne "La Saga di Maqroll il gabbiere":
“Le donne non mentono mai. Dalle più segrete intimità del loro corpo scaturisce sempre la verità. Accade che ci sia stato dato di decifrarla con parsimonia implacabile. Ci sono molti che mai lo ottengono e muoiono nella cecità senza scampo dei loro sensi.”

Biografia Aloisio Congrejo

Nasco in Second Life il 25 febbraio 2007. 
La mia passione per l'arte nasce con me in Sl, mentre in RL è nata molti anni fa.
Come "fruitore dell'arte" ho amato e ammirato moltissimi artisti, conosciuti e meno conosciuti, ma chiunque riesca ad esprimere e trasmettere le proprie emozioni con qualsiasi strumento mi ha sempre affascinato.
In Second Life, ho iniziato a esprimere i miei pensieri e le mie emozioni come un gioco, sperimentando cose per me nuove, ma con semplicità ed esclusivamente per puro divertimento personale.
Non mi considero "un artista" e tantomeno l'inventore di chissà quale "innovazione creativa", creo per il solo piacere di creare, e se quello che faccio viene apprezzato, mi sento lusingato, perchè per me l'arte dev'essere un linguaggio che avvicina chi la fa a chi ne fruisce, dev'essere una condivisione di emozioni.

Le mie creazioni sono una ricerca di movimento di forme e colore, in alcune vengono utilizzati script di movimento o altro, in altri il senso di movimento viene dato dalle trasparenze che si integrano con la sovrapposizione di forme e colori.

Biografia di Tani Thor

Tani Thor nasce in SL nel dicembre 2007 per la curiosità scaturita da un articolo on line scritto da Beppe Grillo sui mondi virtuali.
Dopo aver girovagato per alcuni mesi, l'incontro con Aloisio Congrejo, un già famoso gallerista, mi ha aperto il mondo dell'arte.
Le mie prime "creazioni" sono nate un pò per noia e un pò per curiosità: vedere Alo creare è stato uno stimolo.
Non ho seguito corsi di building in SL: tutto quello che ho creato, l'ho fatto da autodidatta ma sempre sotto l'occhio vigile del mio "anfitrione", che mi ha consigliato e guidato nella lavorazione dei prim: prim nativi che contorco, applicando script di movimento e texture, tutto sempre usando la mia curiosità e fantasia.
Non sono un'artista o una creatrice, non studio e difficilemente approfondisco, ma metto nelle mie "cose" (non mi sento di chiamarle opere!) l'istinto.
Unisco prim usando un mio personale senso del colore e delle forme, ma l'arte è un'altra cosa!!
Con il tempo ho affiancanto alla creazione, l'organizzazione di gallerie d'arte, creando con Aloisio Congrejo il gruppo Tanalois Art, che ormai dal 2008 organizza mostre e installazioni in SL per dare spazio ad artisti di SL o di RL già conosciuti, ma anche lanciando nel mondo dell'arte virtuale artisti alle prime armi.
Dal 2010 la mia curiosità ha spostato la mia attenzione dalle creazioni 3D, alla fotografia in SL e al morphing, tecnica di fusione tra fotografia di corpi umani e visi di avatar, che mi ha costretta a approfondire l'uso di editor fotografici. 
Il mio approccio alla fotografia paesaggistica in SL è istintuale come tutte le cose che faccio...uno, due scatti al massimo, per cercare di cogliere quell'emozione sfuggente.
Photoshop e Paint Shop Pro sono gli strumenti che uso per la manipolazione d'immagine, ma cerco sempre di non stravoltere mai l'essenza della foto stessa.
Ho collaborato all'organizzazione artistica del 2Lei un progetto in collaborazione fra diversi gruppi in Second Life, nato nel 2010 con lo scopo di sensibilizzare e divulgare gli eventi legati alla Giornata internazionale contro la violenza sulle donne. Artisti virtuali, galleristi, musicisti e personaggi della cultura di Second Life condividono un messaggio comune di solidarietà alla donna attraverso la loro specifica Arte. 2Lei organizza e patrocina eventi che trattano il tema della donna a 360° e per 365 giorni l'anno.
Attualmente sono co-owner della "tKF: torno Kohime Foundation", una fondazione in SL senza scopro di lucro, creata per ricordare un'artista RL e SL scomparsa nel 2011. In questa land, manteniamo la linea del gruppo "Tanalois Art" dando spazio a tutte quelle persone che vogliono esprimere sè stesse in ogni forma: musica, letteratura, disegni, foto e ogni espressione della creatività.
In RL sono tutto tranne che un'artista o una fotografa. Ho scoperto questa mia attitudine nel metaverso, e coltivo solo qui quella che ormai è diventata una passione!

I was born in Second Life on february 25 2007
My passion for art has been part of my virtual life from the start, and in RL began many years ago.
As an artistic 'consumer' there have been many artists both great and lesser known that I have folled and admired, but what is most important to me is to see the work of anyone who can craft various media in such a way as to express their feelings.
In Second life I began using art to express feelings and thoughts simply as a way of playing, trying out theings that were new to me, but with simplicity and entirely for my own enjoyment.
i do not think of myself as an 'artist' and certainly don't consider myself an 'inventor' of anything groundbreaking, I create art simply for the the pleasure of creating, and if what I make brings pleasure to others, I am flattered, because I see art as a language that allows the creator and the observer to communicate, in an exchange of emotions.

My creations are a search of movement and color, in some there are used scripts of motion or otherwise, and in others the sense of motion is given by the transparency that integrate with the overlap of shapes and colors.

Tani Thor was born in SL in December 2007 from the curiosity that sprang from an online article written by Beppe Grillo on virtual worlds. After wandering for a few months, a meeting with Aloisio Congrejo, already a famous gallery owner, opened the world of art to me. My first "creations" were born from a little boredom and a bit of curiosity: to see Aloisio create was a stimulus. 

I did not follow building courses in SL: everything I've created, i did it by myself, but always under the watchful eye of my "mentor", who advised and guided me in the processing of prims: twisting prims, applying movement and texture animation scripts to them, all the while using my curiosity and imagination. I manipulated prims using my own personal sense of color and form, but art is something else!

With time I became involved in the organization of art galleries, creating with Aloisio Congrejo the group Tanalois Art, which since 2008 has organized exhibitions and installations in SL giving space to established SL and RL artists. We are also interested in launching novice artists into the virtual world. 

Since 2010, my curiosity has shifted from 3D creations to SL photography, and I became fascinated with the technique of morphing photographic images of human bodies with the faces of avatars, which forced me to investigate the use of a photo editor.My approach to landscape photography in SL is instinctual, as are all the things I do .... one or two shots at most, to try to catch elusive emotions. Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro are the tools I use for image manipulation, but I try not to alter the essence of the picture itself ... 

I collaborate with the artistic organization 2Lei. 2Lei in Second Life is a collaborative project between different SL groups, created in 2010 with the aim to raise awareness and spread events related to the International Day Against Violence Against Women. Virtual artists, gallery owners, musicians and people of Second Life share a common message of solidarity with women through their art. 2Lei organizes and sponsors events that deal with the issue of women at 360 ° and 365 days a year.

I am owner of "tKF" ( torno Kohime Foundation), a not for profit SL foundation created to commemorate an RL/SL artist who died in 2011. In this land, we adhere to the tenets of "Tanalois Art" giving space to all those people who want to express themselves in all forms: music, literature, drawing, photography and any expression of creativity.

In RL i am not a artist or a photographer. I found this interest of mine in the metaverse, and cultivate only here what now has now become a passion!
